High School Service Trip

Each year The LeaderShop offers high school participants the opportunity to take part in a service trip. Last year they were on a mission to improve the lives of those living in impoverished areas of Detroit.
This week-long trip took place June 12-18, 2016. High School participants from The LeaderShop prepped and served meals to those in need at a soup kitchen. The students helped weave doormats to raise money for local social services programs. They also helped with landscaping around the area and organized an activity with developmentally disabled adults.
In their free time, the staff and students visited area attractions including the Belle Isle beach Detroit’s newly revitalized downtown area.
