Matt Schiavone, Program Coordinator

During the school year, this after school program invites students in K through 8th grade to receive assistance with their homework and additional academic support from adult and high school volunteers. After an hour of homework (or other educational related activity such as reading, flash cards, etc), students participate in social and recreational activities, crafts and community service projects.

The Tutoring Program

The LeaderShop Office, 3:30 – 5:00pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays

Katie Wiseheart, Program Manager

The Tutoring Program is available to all youth living in the service area enrolled in K through 6th grades. During the school year, high school and community adult volunteers are paired with students to focus on homework completion and improving academic skills. The program helps participants develop positive study habits and improve grades, as well as providing individual support. The program also provides a meaningful experience for the volunteer tutors.
